BaldCare hecht grote waarde aan jouw privacy. Dit privacybeleid legt uit welke persoonsgegevens worden verwerkt, hoe daarmee wordt omgegaan, en welke rechten je hebt bij het gebruik van BaldCare. BaldCare biedt contextgestuurde AI-hoofdhuidanalyse, persoonlijk verzorgingsadvies, productaanbevelingen en voortgangstracking.

Afhankelijk van hoe je BaldCare gebruikt, kunnen we het volgende verwerken: profielgegevens die je zelf aanlevert, hoofdhuid-gerelateerde voorkeuren zoals huidtype, gevoeligheid, scheermethode en aandachtspunten, profielfoto's of andere afbeeldingen die je aan je profiel toevoegt, voortgangsfoto's inclusief de bijbehorende analysecontext en analyseresultaten die lokaal worden opgeslagen, foto's die je specifiek selecteert voor AI-hoofdhuidanalyse, de analysecontext die je kiest (zoals na het scheren of na zonblootstelling), tekstberichten die je naar de AI-assistent stuurt, en abonnementsstatus en gebruiksgegevens die nodig zijn om app-limieten te beheren.

BaldCare is ontworpen met privacy als uitgangspunt. Je profielgegevens, profielfoto, voortgangsfoto's en bijbehorende analyseresultaten worden uitsluitend op je eigen toestel opgeslagen, met Apple's beveiligde lokale opslagtechnologie. Deze informatie blijft op je toestel, wordt niet geüpload naar servers van BaldCare, wordt niet gedeeld met derden, en kan op elk moment via de app worden verwijderd. Foto's die specifiek zijn aangeleverd voor AI-hoofdhuidanalyse worden apart behandeld, zoals beschreven bij AI-analyse en chat hieronder.

BaldCare vraagt alleen toegang tot je camera en fotobibliotheek op het moment dat je een functie gebruikt die deze toegang vereist. De fotobibliotheek wordt gebruikt voor het toevoegen of wijzigen van je profielfoto, het toevoegen van voortgangsfoto's, en het selecteren van foto's voor AI-hoofdhuidanalyse. De camera wordt uitsluitend gebruikt voor het maken van voortgangsfoto's en het maken van foto's die je eventueel kiest in te dienen voor AI-hoofdhuidanalyse. Bij het starten van een analyse kies je een analysecontext (zoals na het scheren of na zonblootstelling); deze context wordt meegestuurd met de foto naar Anthropic om een gerichter analyseresultaat te genereren. Voortgangsfoto's en analyseresultaten blijven lokaal op je toestel opgeslagen. BaldCare uploadt of analyseert je foto's niet automatisch.

BaldCare maakt gebruik van kunstmatige intelligentie van Anthropic (Claude). Wanneer je een hoofdhuidfoto laat analyseren of een vraag stelt aan de AI-assistent, wordt de aangeleverde foto of tekst, samen met de gekozen analysecontext, veilig verstuurd naar onze serverinfrastructuur binnen de Europese Unie, en van daaruit doorgestuurd naar Anthropic voor verwerking. Dit gebeurt met een willekeurig gegenereerd toestel-ID, nooit gekoppeld aan je naam of e-mailadres. BaldCare bewaart zelf geen kopieën van aangeleverde foto's of AI-gesprekken. We bewaren alleen beperkte gebruiksgegevens die nodig zijn om maandelijkse limieten te beheren, zoals het aantal gebruikte AI-analyses en chatberichten.

Anthropic verwerkt informatie volgens hun eigen privacybeleid, beschikbaar via anthropic.com/privacy. Waar van toepassing worden passende waarborgen gebruikt wanneer persoonsgegevens buiten de Europese Economische Ruimte worden overgedragen.

BaldCare onderhoudt geen externe accountdatabase. Je accountgegevens en inloggegevens worden veilig op je eigen toestel opgeslagen, met Apple's versleutelde Keychain-technologie. Bij het verwijderen van je account wordt alle lokaal opgeslagen informatie gewist.

Als je meldingen inschakelt, worden deze lokaal op je toestel gepland via het iOS-notificatiesysteem van Apple. Er worden geen persoonsgegevens naar externe servers gestuurd om meldingen te verzorgen.

Als je feedback verstuurt vanuit de app, opent BaldCare de standaard mailapp op je toestel met een vooraf ingevuld e-mailadres naar info@baldcareai.com. De e-mail wordt alleen verstuurd als jij daar zelf voor kiest. Wanneer je ons een e-mail stuurt, ontvangen wij de persoonlijke gegevens die je zelf meestuurt, zoals je e-mailadres, naam (indien beschikbaar) en de inhoud van je bericht. Wij gebruiken deze informatie uitsluitend om te reageren op je vraag, ondersteuning te bieden en BaldCare te verbeteren. Wij gebruiken deze informatie niet voor marketingdoeleinden en delen deze niet met derden, tenzij wettelijk verplicht.

BaldCare biedt Premium-functies aan via Apple's App Store. Betalingen worden volledig door Apple verwerkt. BaldCare ontvangt of bewaart je betaalgegevens niet. Abonnementen beheer of zeg je op via je Apple ID-abonnementsinstellingen.

BaldCare bevat links naar externe websites, winkels en video's, waaronder productaanbevelingen en educatieve content. Zodra je een externe link opent, verlaat je BaldCare en geldt het privacybeleid van die derde partij. BaldCare is niet verantwoordelijk voor de privacypraktijken, beschikbaarheid of inhoud van externe diensten.

BaldCare gebruikt geen analysetools van derden en geen advertentietrackers. We verkopen geen persoonsgegevens.

Voor zover de Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG) van toepassing is, verwerkt BaldCare persoonsgegevens op basis van jouw toestemming, het leveren van de diensten die je aanvraagt, het voldoen aan wettelijke verplichtingen, en ons gerechtvaardigd belang bij het onderhouden en verbeteren van de app.

BaldCare bewaart informatie alleen zolang dat nodig is om de app te laten functioneren. Gebruikstellers voor abonnementslimieten worden alleen bewaard zolang nodig is om deze limieten te beheren.

Afhankelijk van de toepasselijke wetgeving heb je mogelijk het recht op inzage in je persoonsgegevens, correctie van onjuiste gegevens, verwijdering van je gegevens, beperking van of bezwaar tegen verwerking, dataportabiliteit, en het intrekken van toestemming waar van toepassing. Je kunt ook contact opnemen met je lokale toezichthoudende autoriteit (in Nederland: de Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Je verwijdert je account en lokaal opgeslagen gegevens via Instellingen → Account → Account verwijderen. Verwijderde informatie kan niet worden hersteld.

BaldCare is niet bedoeld voor kinderen van 13 jaar en jonger. We verzamelen niet bewust persoonsgegevens van kinderen onder de 13 jaar.

Dit privacybeleid kan worden bijgewerkt wanneer nieuwe functies of diensten worden geïntroduceerd. De meest actuele versie is altijd beschikbaar in de app en op onze website.

BaldCare provides context-driven AI scalp analysis, personalised scalp care guidance, product recommendations and progress tracking.

Depending on how you use BaldCare, we may process: profile information you provide, scalp-related preferences such as scalp type, sensitivity, shaving method and areas of concern, profile photos or other images you add to your account profile, progress photos including their associated analysis context and locally stored analysis results, photos specifically selected by you for AI scalp analysis, the analysis context you choose (such as after shaving or after sun exposure), text messages submitted to the AI assistant, and subscription status and usage information required to manage app limits.

BaldCare is designed with a privacy-first approach. Your profile information, profile photo, progress photos and associated analysis results are stored exclusively on your device using Apple's secure local storage technologies. This information remains on your device, is not uploaded to BaldCare servers, is not shared with third parties, and can be deleted at any time through the app. Photos submitted specifically for AI scalp analysis are handled separately, as described in the AI Analysis and Chat Features section below.

BaldCare requests access to your camera and photo library only when you choose to use features that require these permissions. The photo library is used for adding or changing your profile photo, adding progress photos, and selecting photos for AI scalp analysis. The camera is used only for capturing progress photos and capturing photos you may choose to submit for AI scalp analysis. When starting an analysis, you choose an analysis context (such as after shaving or after sun exposure); this context is sent alongside the photo to Anthropic to generate a more targeted analysis result. Progress photos and analysis results remain stored locally on your device. BaldCare does not automatically upload or analyse your photos.

BaldCare uses artificial intelligence technology provided by Anthropic (Claude). When you submit a scalp photo for AI analysis or ask the AI assistant a question, the submitted photo or text, along with the chosen analysis context, is securely sent to our server infrastructure hosted within the European Union and forwarded to Anthropic for processing. This is done using a randomly generated device identifier and is not linked to your name or email address. BaldCare does not store copies of submitted photos or AI conversations on its own servers. We only store limited usage information required to manage monthly limits, such as the number of AI analyses and chat messages used.

Anthropic processes information according to its own privacy policy, available at anthropic.com/privacy. Where applicable, appropriate safeguards are used when personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area.

BaldCare does not maintain an external account database. Your account information and authentication data are stored securely on your device using Apple's encrypted Keychain technology. When you delete your account, all locally stored information is removed.

If enabled, notifications are scheduled locally through Apple's iOS notification system. No personal data is sent to external servers to provide notifications.

If you choose to send feedback from within the app, BaldCare opens your device's default email application with a pre-filled email addressed to info@baldcareai.com. The email is only sent if you choose to do so. When you send us an email, we receive the personal information you choose to include, such as your email address, name (if available) and the contents of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry, provide support and improve BaldCare. We do not use this information for marketing purposes and do not share it with third parties, unless required by law.

BaldCare offers Premium features through Apple's App Store. Payments are processed entirely by Apple. BaldCare does not receive or store your payment details. Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled through your Apple ID subscription settings.

BaldCare contains links to external websites, shops and videos, including product recommendations and educational content. When you open an external link, you leave BaldCare and the privacy policy of that third party applies. BaldCare is not responsible for the privacy practices, availability or content of external services.

BaldCare does not use third-party analytics tools and does not use advertising trackers. We do not sell personal information.

Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, BaldCare processes personal data based on your consent, providing the services you request, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in maintaining and improving the application.

BaldCare stores information only for as long as necessary to provide app functionality. Usage counters used for subscription limits are retained only while necessary to manage these limits.

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate information, request deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent where applicable. You may also contact your local Data Protection Authority.

You can delete your account and locally stored information through Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deleted information cannot be recovered.

BaldCare is not intended for children aged 13 and younger. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

This Privacy Policy may be updated when new features or services are introduced. The latest version is always available inside the app and on our website.
